L2 - R4.6 Microcontroller Communication Error (System Freezing)

According to the problem analysis result done by TSA, you can directly begin the subsequent troubleshooting process from the corresponding potential root cause.

STEP 1 - Measure the voltage from the power supply output, and the control board power input. All the expected readings should be 24V.

• Result 1 - The reading is 24V.
  Start STEP 5.
  
  
• Result 2 - The power supply output or the control board power input reading is not 24V.   
  Start STEP 2.

STEP 2 - Reconnect the wires, and check if the readings become 24V.

• Result 1 - The reading is 24V.
  Start STEP 3.
  
  
• Result 2 - The reading is not 24V.   
  Start STEP 4.

STEP 3 - Boot up the machine, and verify the FW version.

• Result 1 - All FW versions are displayed with the right version.
  Start STEP 6. (Root cause: The control board / the power supply wires disconnected.)
  
  
• Result 2 - Any of the flowmeter or motor FW version displays "0000".   
  Start STEP 5.
  
  
• Result 3 - All the FW versions display "0000".
  Start STEP 4. 
  

STEP 4 - Reconnect the USB cable between the control board & Tinker board, then reboot (Press the reset button for 10 secs) and verify the FW version.

• Result 1 - The machine can start up without displaying “Table.undefined”, and all FW versions are shown with the correct version.
  Start STEP 6. (Root cause: USB cable disconnected)
  
  
• Result 2 - “Table.undefined” appears.   
  Start STEP 5.

STEP 5 - Replace the control board (see SOP here). Turn on the power and flash the firmware with the firmware download page,  then check if The machine can load the Botrista homepage without showing the "Table.undefined", and verify the FW version.

• Result 1 - The machine can load the Botrista homepage without showing “Table.undefine”, and all FW versions are displayed with the correct version.
  Start STEP 6. (Root cause: Control board failure)
  
  
• Result 2 - “0000” still appears.   
  Escalate to PSE.

STEP 6 - Go to the “Control” page, and verify the functionality for every item (except for “Cold hot water valve”). Then make a few drinks (covering all the ingredients) and verify the tastes. 

• Result 1 - All the functionalities (except for “Cold hot water valve”) & drink tastes meet the standard.
  Issue closed.
  
  
• Result 2 - "0000" still appears.   
  Escalate to PSE.
