L2 - R4.6 Dispense Wrong Volume (Filtered Water)

According to the problem analysis result done by CCA, you can directly begin the subsequent troubleshooting process from the corresponding potential root cause.

1. External water line

STEP 1 - Verify all the shut-off valves on the external water line are fully turned on.

Result 1 - All the shut-off valves are fully turned on.
Start "Water Filter" chapter.
Result 2 - Any of the shut-off valves is off.
Start STEP 2.

STEP 2 - Turn on the shut-off valve, and verify if the water flow rate can reach 30ml/sec

Result 1 - The water flow rate can reach 30ml/sec.
Issue close. (Root cause: External water line shut off)
Result 2 - The water flow rate cannot reach 30ml/sec.
Start "Water Filter" chapter.
Result 3 - The water is not dispensed at all.
Start "Solenoid & Control Board" chapter.

2. Water Filter

STEP 1 - Verify the flow rate before and after the water filter are the same and reach 30ml/sec.

Result 1 - The water flow rate before and after the water filter are the same and reach 30ml/sec.
Start "Solenoid & Control Board" chapter.
Result 2 - The water flow rate after the filter is lower than the flow rate before the filter.
Start STEP 2.

STEP 2 - Replace the water filter, and verify the flow rate before and after the water filter are the same and reach 30ml/sec.

Result 1 - The water flow rate before and after the water filter are the same and reach 30ml/sec.
Issue close.(Root cause: Water filter clog)

3. Solenoid & Control Board

STEP 1 - Verify the solenoid wire connection (solenoid to extension wire, extension wire to control board).

Result 1 - The wire connections are fine
Start STEP 3.
Result 2 - Any of the wire connections is inpropered.
Start STEP 2.

STEP 2 - Reconnect the wire properly, and verify the water dispensing function.

Result 1 - The water flow rate can reach 30ml/sec.
Issue close. (Root cause: Solenoid wire disconnected.)
Result 2 - The water is not dispensed at all.
Start STEP 3.

STEP 3 - Replace the solenoid, and verify the water dispensing function.

Result 1 - The water flow rate can reach 30ml/sec.
Issue close. (Root cause: Solenoid failure.)
Result 2 - The water is not dispensed at all.
Start STEP 4.

STEP 4 - Replace the control board, and verify the water dispensing function.

Result 1 - The water flow rate can reach 30ml/sec.
Issue close. (Root cause: Control board failure.)
Result 2 - The water is not dispensed at all.
Escalate to PSE.
