According to the problem analysis result done by TSA, you can directly begin the subsequent troubleshooting process from the corresponding potential root cause.

1. Solenoid

2-3-1-1 - Start pumping the malfunctioning tube (water-tube 13/sparkling water-tube 14/Kay-5 valve), and measure the voltage at the control board connector for the corresponding solenoid. The expected reading should be 24V

Solenoid 1: Water   Solenoid 2: Sparkling water   Solenoid 4: Kay-5 water

  • Result 1 - The reading is 24V.
    Start 2-3-1-3.

  • Result 2 - The reading is not 24V
    Start 2-3-1-2.

2-3-1-2 Replace the control board (see SOP here) and verify solenoid functionality.

  • Result 1 - The water dispenses fine.
    Start 2-3-1-4.

Root cause: The control board fails.

  • Result 2 - The water is still unable to dispense.
    Start 2-3-1-3.

2-3-1-3 - Replace the corresponding solenoid (see SOP here), and verify solenoid's functionality.

  • Result 1 - The water dispenses fine.
    Start 2-3-1-4.

  • Result 2 - The water is still unable to dispense.
    Escalate to FAE.

2-3-1-4 - Make a drink and open Kay-5 valve to verify the resolution of the dispensing issue.

  • Result 1 - The drinks are made successfully and taste fine, and the Kay-5 water dispenses.
    Issue close.
