Modified on Tue, 3 Jun at 11:34 PM

According to the problem analysis result done by TSA, you can directly begin the subsequent troubleshooting process from the corresponding potential root cause.

 1. Cleaning Tool Detection Bypass (Bypass the step if the customer DOESN'T use the manager account to start the cleaning process)

1-5-1-1 - Verify if the cleaning tool ball valve can be triggered when placed on the countertop.

  • Result 1 - Can be triggered
    Start 1-5-2-1.

  • Result 2 - Cannot be triggered.
    Start 1-5-1-2.

1-5-1-2 - Follow the "Cleaning Tool Undetected" troubleshooting guide to fix the cleaning tool ball valve triggering, run a cleaning process to verify the issue is fixed.

  • Result 1 - No water remaining in the cleaning sink
    Issue closed. (Root cause

  • Result 2 - Still water remaining in the cleaning sink.
    Start 1-5-2-1.

2. Cleaning Tube

1-1-2-1 - Verify the cleaning tubes are all well-connected and without damage.

    Start 1-1-3-1.

  • Result 2 - Any of the cleaning tubes is disconnected / damaged.
    Start 1-1-2-2.

1-1-2-2 - Reconnect/replace the cleaning tube, and pour 2 liters of water into the cleaning sink, the switch the water distribution valve to “Up”, perform a 20-second dispensing the line that cleaning tube being changed into a measuring cup. Verify the flow rate can reach 400ml/20sec.

  • Result 1 - The flow rate can reach 400ml/20sec.
Issue close. (Root cause: Cleaning tube disconnected/damaged).

  • Result 2 - The flow rate cannot reach 400ml/20sec .
    Start 1-1-3-1.

3. Cleaning Sink Strainer

1-1-3-1 - Check that the cleaning sink strainer is clean and free of any debris.

  • Result 1 -The strainer is clean and free of any debris.
    Start 1-1-4-1.

  • Result 2 - There are some syrups or debris on the strainer.
    Start 1-1-3-2.

1-1-3-2 - Clean the cleaning sink strainer, and pour 2 liters of water into the cleaning sink, switch the water distribution valve to “Up”, perform a 20-second dispensing the line that the cleaning tube being changed into a measuring cup. Verify the flow rate can reach 400ml/20sec.

  • Result 1 - The flow rate can reach 400ml/20sec.
Issue close. (Root cause: Cleaning strainer clog).

  • Result 2 - The flow rate cannot reach 400ml/20sec .
    Start 1-1-4-1.

4. Flowmeter

1-1-4-1 - Pour 2 liters of water into the cleaning sink, switch the water distribution valve to “Up”, fill the previously cleaned tubes, and perform a 20-second dispensing of filtered water into a measuring cup. Verify the correspondence between the water volume and the flowmeter reading displayed on the UI.

  • Result 1 - Flowmeter reading is accurate.
    Start 1-1-5-1.

  • Result 2 - Flowmeter reading is not accurate.
    Start 1-1-4-2.

1-1-4-2 - Troubleshoot the flowmeter. Flush the line with hot water, and verify flowmeter functionality.

  • Result 1 - Flowmeter reading is accurate.
    Start 1-1-5-1
    (Root cause: flowmeter obstruction)
  • Result 2 - Flowmeter reading is not accurate.
    Start 1-1-4-3.

1-1-4-3 - Measure the voltage at the flowmeter board connector for the corresponding flowmeter. The expected reading should be 5V.

  • Result 1 - The reading is 5V.
    Start 1-1-4-5
    .
  • Result 2 - The reading is not 5V.
    Start 1-1-4-4.

1-1-4-4 - Replace the flowmeter board, and verify flowmeter functionality.

  • Result 1 - Flowmeter reading is accurate.
    Start 1-1-5-1.
(Root cause: The flowmeter board fails)
  • Result 2 - Flowmeter reading is not accurate.
    Start 1-1-4-5.

1-1-4-5 - Replace the flowmeter, and verify flowmeter functionality.

  • Result 1 - Flowmeter reading is accurate.
    Start 1-1-5-1
. (Root cause: The flowmeter fails)
  • Result 2 - Flowmeter reading is not accurate.
    Escalate to FAE.

5. Pump

1-1-5-1 - Verify if the water volume exceeds 400ml.

  • Result 1 - The water volume exceeds 400ml.
    Start 1-1-6-1.

  • Result 2 - The water volume is less than 400ml.
    Start 1-1-5-2.

1-1-5-2 - Troubleshoot the pump. Measure the voltage at the motor board connector for the corresponding pump. The expected reading should be 24V

  • Result 1 - The reading is 24V.
    Start 1-1-5-4.

  • Result 2 - The reading is not 24V.
    Start 1-1-5-3.

1-1-5-3 - Replace the motor board and verify pump functionality.

  • Result 1 - The water volume exceeds 400ml.
Start 1-1-6-5. (Root cause: The motor board fails)

  • Result 2 - The water volume is less than 400ml.
    Start 1-1-6-4.

1-1-5-4 - Replace the pump and verify pump functionality.

  • Result 1 - The water volume exceeds 400ml.
Start 1-1-6-5. (Root cause: The motor board fails)

  • Result 2 - The water volume is less than 400ml.
    Escalate to FAE.

 6. Manifold Check Valve

1-1-6-1 - Dispense the previously cleaned tubes, observing for any bubble appearance within the cleaning tubes.

  • Result 1 - Bubble(s) appear.
    Start 1-1-6-2.

  • Result 2 - Bubbles do not appear.
    Start 1-1-6-5.

1-1-6-2 - Securely fasten the manifold valve seat on the tube where bubble formation occurs, and then dispense again to observe for any movement of bubbles within the cleaning tubes.

  • Result 1 - Bubble(s) appear.
    Start 1-1-6-3.

  • Result 2 - Bubbles do not appear.
Start 1-1-6-5. (Root cause: manifold valve leakage)

1-1-6-3 - Remove the manifold valve and thoroughly clean the valve body, o-ring, and manifold nozzle, addressing any dust or debris. Reinstall the valve (replace if damaged), and verify the absence of any remaining bubbles.

  • Result 1 - Bubble(s) appear.
    Start 1-1-6-4.

  • Result 2 - Bubbles do not appear.
Start 1-1-6-5. (Root cause: manifold valve dirty / damaged)

1-1-6-4 - Replace the original manifold valve seat with a new one, observing for the presence of bubbles after the replacement.

  • Result 1 - Bubble(s) appear.
    Escalate to FAE.

  • Result 2 - Bubbles do not appear.
Start 1-1-6-5. (Root cause: The dimensional tolerances for the manifold valve seat and nozzle.)

1-1-6-5 - Execute the factory version of the cleaning process and inspect for any remaining residual water within the cleaning sink.

  • Result 1 - There is still residual water within the cleaning sink.
Check any root cause that hasn't been checked yet. If every potential root causes are checked, and the issue is still unsolved, escalate to FAE.

  • Result 2 - No residual water.
    Issue resolved.
